Another building

Stonehenge Stonehenge

Stonehenge

Another fabulous building in the city of Bath. And then we come to Stonehenge. Words can't describe the feeling. It was a stormy day and the wind was blowing.. ................

Stonehenge

Beachy Head

Beachy Head

Leeds Castle

................. While traveling through Sussex, we were told by many people that the Cliffs of Dover were worn away and all green from algae. They suggested Beachy Head Beachy Head was impressive and very isolated. We both climbed past the guardrails and went to the edges of the cliffs. Leeds Castle is a fairy tale castle. Very beautiful. Royalty still lives in a wing of it.

Trefalger Square, London

Horseguard in London

Guards of Buckingham Palace

Changing of the Guard

Trefalger Square in London England is huge. This lion is about 10' tall and there were four of them. One day while walking around near Buckingham Palace, some of the Horse guard came riding by. We were on our way to see the changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace when they came marching by. I enjoyed the changing of the Guard. It started out slow, the formalities had to be done, but it ended with a bang.

Queen Victoria Memorial

Tower Bridge over Thames River

Picadilly Circus

Sept 11 Memorial at US Embassy

This is part of the Queen Victoria Memorial that rests in front of Buckingham Palace. The Tower Bridge going over the Thames River. I was at the Tower Of London when I took this. Another must see is the Crown Jewels. Amazing. These neon signs were in Picadilly Circus covering the building. The building was at least 10 stories tall. The US Embassy had set up the Roosevelt Memorial and Park as a memorial for the victims of the NY tragedy. I had the honor of writing in a book being created as part of the memorial.

Big Ben

Big Ben and Parliament

The Eye

One more building

Big Ben. You can here it chime all over London. Big Ben and the Parliament Buildings. We only saw it from the outside. The lines to get in where hundreds deep. British Airways "The Eye" was impressive. Each gondola held about 20 people and it took a half hour to make a complete circle. And finally one more building with wonderful statuary and detail.

It was a wonderful three week trip. Next time I'll allow a lot more time or at least limit the ground I cover. There's still so much I want to see and do.

You can rest now. Job well done. click here to go home.
